Behavioral Health Urgent Care-now open in Everett!

print
Did you know that there is an alternative to the ER for people experiencing a mental health crisis?  There is!  Some Snohomish County NAMI members recently got to tour Providence’s Behavioral Health Urgent Care facility. Anybody experiencing a mental health crisis can just show up and get care. This is such a great resource for our community! Apparently it’s the only one on the West Coast!  Keep this in mind if you or a loved one ever have an urgent mental health care need.

This description is on their website.

“Immediate access to innovative treatment.  The Providence Medical Group Behavioral Health Urgent Care provides timely access to behavioral health services for adults 18 and over presenting in a mental health crisis. The program is designed as an alternative treatment setting for those who need urgent (same day) intervention, but do not necessarily require the services of the emergency room.

The clinic is located on the same campus as the Providence Regional Medical Center emergency department, so patients first presenting to the emergency department may be encouraged to utilize the Behavioral Health Urgent Care, if deemed clinically appropriate by an emergency department physician.”
